It’s been a while since we last saw a Lamborghini Diablo in the headlines, but we think this cool-as-hell one-off presented by Super Veloce Racing is worthy of the spotlight. That’s because it’s one of the last all-original examples of the diabolic bull on the planet, offered in concours-ready condition with several factory-fitted upgrades, including a unique “Ice Blue” paint job straight from the auto show circuit. Any collector would be highly fortunate to get this gorgeous Lambo into their garage, and now that it’s going up for sale, its exclusivity could be all yours – if you have the means, that is.
The Diablo is one of Lamborghini’s most iconic models, with a production run that spanned over a decade. Originally launched in 1990, the Diablo was the first Lambo road car to tip the 200-mph mark, boasting a rear/mid-mounted 5.7-liter V-12 producing nearly 500 horsepower at the rear wheels by way of a five-speed manual gearbox.
Over the years, the Diablo received numerous revisions and special editions, including the SV model in 1995. The “super veloce” designation is a nod to theMiura SV, and as such, the Diablo SV came equipped with more horsepower, adjustable aerodynamics, tweaked styling, and larger brakes.
As you might expect, this particular example gets all that and more, but when it comes to what makes it special, the devil is in the details.

What makes the Lamborghini Diablo SV by Super Veloce Racing so special
The wallpaper-worthy vehicle before you is from 1998, the final model year before the Diablo received its next-gen facelift. It was first seen in public at the 1999 British Motor Show, and was initially painted yellow. However, before it hit the limelight, Lambo re-sprayed it with a shot of light blue metallic, giving it a jaw-slackening pearlescent finish wholly exclusive to this particular example.
The original owner purchased the car directly from the show floor, and interestingly, also bought the rights to the car’s unique “Ice Blue” hue. Super Veloce Racing claims it’s the only Lambo finished in “Ice Blue” in the U.K.
Along with its stunning exterior color, this SV gets a slew of OEM improvements that add even more distinction. In profile, we find SE side skirts mounted to the exterior, while the cockpit is bathed in two-tone Alcantara (blue and grey) with blue contrast stitching. The seats receive hand-embroidered SV logos, while anyone fortunate enough to sit in the driver’s position will enjoy a carbon-fiber gear lever. Meanwhile, a high-performance stainless steel exhaust bellows the V-12’s tune.
The car comes complete with full documentation from both of the two previous owners, including complete service records and history files. All of the original accessories are present and correct, including both keys and even the Lambo-branded umbrella. Less than 7,000 miles are on the odometer.
If you’re interested in adding this exceptional SV to your collection, Super Veloce Racing is taking applications now. No official price is given, but if I were to hazard a guess, I’d say a ballpark figure of $400,000 is reasonable.

Super Veloce Racing (SVR) is now accepting applications for one of the last truly original examples of the formidable Lamborghini Diablo SV. Believed to be one of the last unmolested examples in the world, it is presented by SVR, established and operated by ex-Lamborghini Service Manager Alan Robb and ex-Lamborghini works driver and Master Technician Lee Cunningham with their business partner Ben Adnett.

The first Lamborghini road car capable of a top speed of more than 200mph, the Diablo was launched in 1990 to critical acclaim. It followed the brands traditional layout of a rear-mid mounted engine, a 5.7-litre V12 delivering 492hp, and rear wheel drive. With a production run of 11 years, the model went through a number of iterations, with updates to the engine, chassis and styling during its lifetime.
The SV model was introduced in 1995 and was only the second model in Lamborghini’s history to wear the ‘Super Veloce’ title after the legendary Miura. The example offered by SVR is one of the last examples built, a 1998 ‘Ice Blue’ one-off. The SV had a number of upgrades over the standard model however remained true to the original, keeping to the traditional rear-wheel drive layout with a manual gearbox.
The unique colour of SVR’s example is interesting in its own right and is the only Lamborghini in the UK to be finished in this colour. Originally painted yellow, the factory finished this SV with a fine coat of light blue metallic to give a pearlescent finish. This was done especially for this example, which started its career on the Lamborghini stand at the 1999 British Motor Show.
Purchased from the show, the original owner also purchased the ownership rights to the colour, thus securing this example’s place in history as truly unique. Complementing the already formidable specification are a select few upgrades, opted for and fitted during production at the factory.
This includes SE side skirts, a carbon fibre gear lever, a performance grade stainless steel exhaust system and a two-tone alcantara interior. The interior was a special order item and included grey, light and dark blue shades of the material covering every aspect of the car’s interior, with the SV logo hand embroidered into the seats, complete with blue contrast stitching.
The two previous owners have kept the car in exceptional condition and it is presented with just 6,941 miles from new, a fully detailed history file, full Lamborghini service history, both keys and every original accessory in place, including the rare Lamborghini umbrella.
Applications are now being accepted for the concours condition Lamborghini Diablo SV. Viewing is strictly by appointment. Price is on application.
