• The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 Lego Technic Kit Is Probably Everything Your Life Has Been Missing

Lego and Lamborghini just dropped a bombshell of a set, and we’re head over heels for it

Major Lego sets don’t come too often but it turns out 2020 isn’t just about world pandemics and home isolation. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the latest collabo between Lego and Lamborghini, nicely wrapped up as a Technic set - pretty much the highest echelon of builds Lego makes currently. Enter the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 Lego Technic set.

That’s a neat way of celebrating the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37

807 horsepower. Top speed of 218 mph. The fastest and most powerful Lamborghini ever made, and more importantly, Lamborghini’s first dip into the world of hybrid performance that will most likely shape the carmaker’s supercars from now on. This is how we would describe the Sian FKP 37 in a few words.

And then came the Lego Technic version of Sant’Agata Bolognese’s mighty bull, a 1:8 scale model made of 3,696 pieces, painted in the lime-green colour we like to see on every hypercar. It will take some space on your desk, too, as it’s over five inches (13 centimeters) high, 23 inches (60 centimeters) long, and nine inches (25 centimeters) wide.

But since this is a Technic set, it’s also loaded to the gill with cool features:

  • working V-12 engine
  • working steering, front/rear suspension, and scissor doors
  • fully-functioning 8-speed sequential gearbox w/ a paddle-like gearshift lever
  • rear spoiler that pops out
  • gold rims

On top of that, the box that houses the set is a piece of art in itself.

What's more, upon receiving your set, you gain access to a series of 13 videos hosted by Lamborghini and Lego experts who will tell you all you need to know about the design process involved in creating the set.

There’s also a downside to all this, and as you’ve probably guessed, it’s the price tag. At $380/€380 or £350, the Lambo Sian Lego Technic isn’t the most affordable sets money can buy. So we strongly advise you to start saving money, because it launches on June 1 and you don’t want to miss this future classic collectible marvel.

In the meantime, you can also have a look at the plastic-brick Lamborghini Urus ST-X & Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO, which come as a way more affordable Speed Champions set.

Tudor’s first encounter with cars took place when he was only a child. Back then, his father brought home a Trabant 601 Kombi and a few years later, a Wartburg 353. At that time, he was too young to know how they worked and way too young to drive them, but he could see one thing – each of them had a different ethos and their own unique personality. As time went on, he started seeing that in other cars as well, and his love for the automobile was born.  Read full bio
