Sam from ‘Sam CarLegion’ uploaded a video of an Audi S3 taking on a Mercedes-AMG A35 on his YouTube channel. Both the cars feature a four-pot turbo engine and an all-wheel-drive system, but the A35 is slightly more powerful on paper. Lamborghini is known for building supercars. But, with 650 horsepower under the hood, its Urus SUV is not exactly supercar material. In fact, we can name a few SUVs that deliver a lot more power than the Urus. Think for example about cars like: Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat (710 horsepower), Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk (707 horsepower) or Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (670 horsepower).

Hennessey Performance is celebrating Christmas by delivering Christmas trees as fast as possible. The company’s previous sleigh, a Jeep Trackhawk, managed to deliver it by touching speeds of up 181 mph. But, this time, they want to get it done even faster. So, they’ve upgraded their sleigh to an Audi RS6 Avant that’s been tuned to make 800 reindeer; err., I mean 800 horses. They tried the same with a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S recently, but it failed. But, the Audi RS6 Avant managed to break the record and is now officially Hennessey’s fastest Christmas tree transporter!

The Porsche 911 GT3 is the ultimate, normally-aspirated 911 and the YouTube channel AutoTopNL recently got its hands on a 992 GT3 Touring – the more street-oriented, “less shouty” version of the normally-aspirated track weapon, without the crazy aero. And while race tracks are the home of the GT3, here, we see how capable the wingless version is, on the Autobahn. Is the “purest 911” capable enough, in the age of turbocharged performance cars?

Ferrari launched the F8 Tributo as the 488 GTB’s successor in 2019. It came with the 488 Pista’s drivetrain and underpinnings, but slot itself as an entry-level supercar, unlike the track-ready model. German aftermarket company Novitec quickly snapped the 2020 model year of the F8 Tributo and came out with its own iteration of it, which consisted of a body kit, new wheels, an engine tune-up, etc. Seeing the popularity, Novitec came up with one for the 2021 F8 Tributo as well.

Now, the company has come another version of the 2021 F8 Tributo called the F8 N-Largo. This limited-edition model comes with a new set of wheels, an engine upgrade, and a widebody kit.

Doug DeMuro recently got a chance to take an up-close look at the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. The Wrangler has pretty much had a niche market to itself for the longest time, but we first saw the Rubicon 392 about a year ago and it was obviously conceived in response to the revival of the Ford Bronco.

Sleeper cars and trucks are probably the best vehicles you see on the road. As typical an underdog move this is, it sure increases the surprise factor multifold. The latest sleeper truck that we came across is this Ford F-150 that makes 1,200 horsepower! It even proves its prowess by humiliating a Corvette Z06. With the pandemic still looming over our heads, 2021 was a pretty action-packed year for the auto industry. Sure, you had challenges, with automakers having to contend with issues like chip shortages, causing delays to consumers. But regardless, the show had to go on and we got some pretty cool cars making their debut, predominantly towards the latter half of 2021.

Let’s get one thing out of the way, 2021 really was also the year, when the market as a whole began to embrace EV’s and you could see several automakers both the legacy as well as EV startups bring several new models to market. Having said that, we did see some pretty cool ICE cars, also make their debut. Now there were several cars that made headlines this year, it was very difficult to pick out the best ones, but the cars on this list definitely stood out.
