BMW and its M division are gearing up for a busy 2022. It’s got quite a lot of vehicles lined up for debut, like the M2, the M3 Touring, the XM, and even the iX M60. Amidst all this, we now get news that the performance arm of the German automaker is planning for a special vehicle. This is rumored to be a special edition of the BMW M4 to commemorate BMW M’s 50th anniversary. But, do you think the company will mark its Golden Jubilee with just another M4?

Mercedes launched an assault at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show when it rolled out five EVs - the EQE family sedan, the EQB crossover, EQG Concept off-roader, and the Maybach EQS SUV. The fifth model was the AMG EQS, which was the first AMG model in the EQ lineup. Now, the automaker is following it up with the AMG EQE. The performance version of the EQE was spotted testing recently, proving that the company is taking the electric game to the next level.

Having a plethora of pixel artists that showcase their visions of future cars is tremendous. This is especially true for classic cars that need to have a modern-day successor. The 1970-1977 Alfa Romeo Montreal is one of those cars and recently, the YouTube channel, NewCarDesign has given us a rendering of what a new model could look like.

Exciting new information points out to BMW potentially bringing two new high-performance variants, in the near future. It’s not the first time the Bavarian carmaker reserves names for future models. This piece of information comes in the form of a filing from the Intellectual Property Office, in the Philippines, according to which BMW just reserved the M7 and M9 badge names.

It’s been a while since FoMoCo’s train-pulling PR stunt came to further hype the arrival of the all-electric Ford F-150. As Ford has been rather tight-lipped lately about its full-electric pickup truck, we thought we’d have a look at what we know up until this point and what we should expect expect from the electric F-150. Here’s what we can report for the time being.

The Ram Rebel is one of the sportiest trucks on the market today. It’s not just the tuners, but also the automakers building powerful and fast monsters right out of the factory. Dodge can be credited with this trend when they launched the Dodge Ram SRT-10 more than 15 years back. This truck was powered by the same V-10 found in the Dodge Viper. However, the market was not mature enough to handle it, thus sending it off the production line within three years of its inception.

Fast forward to 2016 and Dodge is Now Ram, and it revealed a concept truck called the Ram Rebel TRX. In 2018, the company said the concept was given a green signal by the corporate overlords and they will be building it. Since then, enthusiasts have been in a tizzy as to what to expect out of this beast. The only thing confirmed so far is that it will be powered by one Hell(cat) of an engine that will be driven by over 700 horses. Is there anything else? Well, here’s a list of all the things you need to know about the upcoming 2020 Ram Rebel TRX, thanks to Mopar Insiders and Allpar.

Remember the Lexus LF-30 Concept that was revealed back in 2019? It was a futuristic concept with extreme styling and what you might expect from Lexus some 30-40 years from now. Even the cabin gave off the aura of a spaceship, so it was pretty clear that it wouldn’t enter production anytime soon. However, a new trademark filed by Lexus in the U.S., Europe, and Australia for the RZ 450e name, could hint that at least some of its DNA is about to head into production. Obviously, the “e” in the name means it will be an EV – one of the many that the company will offer by 2025 – but what kind of vehicle will it be?

It hasn’t been long since we reported that the Lucid Air might beat out the best Tesla Model S with up to 442 miles of range. Considering that the Air starts out at just $60,000 this could put it in a position to effectively dethrone the Tesla Model S. Now, however, a new report from Ars Technica claims that independent testing has confirmed an estimated range of more than 500 miles on a single charge. If this report is true, and the EPA agrees, the Lucid Air could become the first production EV to cross that threshold. How likely is it that the EPA will give the air a similar rating? Well, the chances might actually be pretty good.

The iconic Land Rover Defender returned in 2019 after a three-year hiatus. It continues to be a rugged-style, boxy SUV with solid off-road capability, but it’s now infused with state-of-the-art technology and premium features. Land Rover offers a range of turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines, including a mild hybrid drivetrain, but a V-8 engine is still missing. That’s about to change though, as our paparazzi just spotted a new prototype that seems to feature such a powertrain.

The 2021 Ford Bronco has been the talk of the town since it was unveiled. The off-roader was, arguably, the most anticipated model this year, and it would be fair to say that it didn’t disappoint. But we enthusiasts are a greedy bunch and still want a Raptor version of the Bronco. That’s like asking for an off-road version of an off-roader! The Bronco comes with most of the stuff needed, but a Raptor trim could push things beyond the boundaries. Also, the Bronco has taken part in Baja 1000 before it was reincarnated, so that makes having a Raptor version even more imperative, and it could further cement the new off-roader’s place in the segment.

In 2017 Mecedes-Benz decided to enter the pickup truck market with the X-Class. However, the X-Class wasn’t a true Mercedes under the shell, but a modified third-generation Nissan Frontier, also known as the Navara in other markets. Mercedes’ concept was to offer a more premium truck in terms of looks and equipment, but it seems that it didn’t go really well. After only two years on the market, the X-Class was discontinued. But a new report claims that the German truck will actually live on as Nissan wants to use the modifications that Mercedes made to the platform on the next-generation Frontier.

The new Ford Bronco might be garnering all the attention right now, but FCA is working on something quietly in the backdrop. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, FCA filed for a trademark for the ‘Carbide’ nameplate. The trademark was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on July 1. FCA as a whole is coming with multiple products, but given the timing and the Bronco’s onslaught on Jeep Wrangler, it could probably be for the production version of the recently-announced Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept.

For years, Maserati has been buying engines from Ferrari to power its cars. It wasn’t a bad arrangement at all, really, but that’s also why the recent news that it was building its own all-new engine – known as the Nettuno V-6 – in house was such a big deal. It’s finally starting to look like Maserati is staking its own independence from Maranello, but now, it looks like the Nettuno engine isn’t as all-new as Maserati led us all to believe.

The 2021 Ram Rebel TRX has kept truck enthusiasts at the edge of their seats. With every leak that’s surfaced on the internet, the TRX just seems to look better every time. In all fairness, quite a bit is already known about the truck and it’s only a matter of time before we start spotting the production-version TRXs with minimum camouflage. For now, TFLoffroad has received a few images from an anonymous source, this time showing the cabin as well as the stuff under the hood. Are we excited? Hell yeah!

Since the electric F-150 is still some time away, the focus has been on the plug-in hybrid version of the truck lately. What made this news even interesting was that the hybrid version would be based on the 3.5-liter, V-6 EcoBoost engine. Basically, a lot of hopes were pinned on this hybrid mill considering it would serve as a bridge between the internal combustion engine range to a pure electric truck and would give us an idea of what to expect.

Well, as it turns out, Ford just pulled one over on us. According to Car And Driver, the PHEV F-150 will run only 10 miles on electric electric before switching back to gas. So much for all the buzz surrounding the mill.

The 2021 F-150’s engine options were recently leaked and we have a basic idea of what drivetrains to expect from the upcoming model.

The new F-150 was also spotted with the camouflage on. However, we had not heard anything about the F-150 Raptor. Now that the 2021 Ford F-150 is on the horizon, it only makes sense to talk about the Raptor’s future as well. Well, it looks like Ford will be dropping the F-150 Raptor SuperCab from the lineup. According to a VIN decoder, the two-door version of the off-roader will be retired with the current model itself and Ford will sell the Raptor SuperCrew only. Is it a good idea?

It hasn’t even been a week since the most recent round of spy shots for the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series started circulating the net. So far, we’ve learned precious little about the car that will be the last entry to the first-gen AMG GT and serve as the flagship model outside of the bonkers Project One Hypercar. All that has changed, though, thanks to a new report from Double Apex, a South African magazine that claims the AMG GT Black Series will have more than 700 horsepower.

Rumors about a modern Barracuda have been flying around since 2007. That’s 13 years as of 2020 and many of us have lost hope that a revival of the iconic Cuda will happen.

However, it seems that the Barracuda may indeed return for the 2021 model years as a replacement for the Dodge Challenger. The McLaren GT was introduced in 2019, and we know for sure that the mule we see here is, in fact, a McLaren GT. Be that as it may, it was caught in a residential neighborhood in France by a friend of Topspeed, and it certainly raises a few questions. First, why is there a camouflaged McLaren GT cruising around France? Second, why was it parked outside a residential area? Third, why do the wheels have “Dyn Wheel” written all over them? Well, we think that McLaren might be testing its new V-6 hybrid drivetrain.

It seems like every 6 months or so, a new rumor about the Mazda RX-9 or the revival of Mazda’s famous and iconic rotary engine comes to life. Kicking off a new decade comes a rumor that says a Mazda RX-9 is, in fact, happening, but it comes with a major caveat – it won’t feature a rotary engine. Word has it that the RZ-9 will feature Mazda’s new RWD platform and inline-six instead, the same setup that was rumored to underpin the next-gen Mazda 6 as well as Toyota’s next-gen Land Cruiser and 4 Runner. This is, as of now, just a rumor with zero confirmation from any credible sources, but it does beg the question: Is a Mazda RX really an RX if it doesn’t feature a rotary engine?

It’s been 25 years since Jaguar discontinued its last supercar, the great XJ220 amid poor sales at a time when people really weren’t eager to buy $1 million mid-engined monsters. Nowadays, there are more millionaires than ever in the world and Jaguar, while focusing on expanding its EV lineup, could be planning a shock return to the world of high-performance supercars with something inspired by the jaw-dropping and all-electric Vision Gran Turismo presented late last month. This may well become the halo car for a new era of the Leaping Cat.

Ferrari’s first SUV is happening whether we like it or not. Maranello is poised to give the Urus a run for its money with a high-riding vehicle, the so-called Purosangue. Little is known about Ferrari’s first (and hopefully last) attempt to attract SUV-loving clients, which means pixel manipulators around the world have had a lot of leeway in coming up with their vision on what the Purosangue could look like.

Of that bunch, Laco Design came forward a pair of renderings that take a stab at guessing a potential design avenue Ferrari might or might not take with the Purosangue, opting to bake in a handful of styling cues seen on Ferrari’s stunningly elegant 2020 Roma supercar.
