Hennessey Performance is celebrating Christmas by delivering Christmas trees as fast as possible. The company’s previous sleigh, a Jeep Trackhawk, managed to deliver it by touching speeds of up 181 mph. But, this time, they want to get it done even faster. So, they’ve upgraded their sleigh to an Audi RS6 Avant that’s been tuned to make 800 reindeer; err., I mean 800 horses. They tried the same with a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S recently, but it failed. But, the Audi RS6 Avant managed to break the record and is now officially Hennessey’s fastest Christmas tree transporter!

The Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo is the more practical version of Porsche’s first, modern-day EV. More importantly, from 2022, both body styles get a GTS version. The Porsche Taycan GTS is already shaping up to be right in the middle of the Taycan lineup, in terms of price and performance, but it also brings a bit more excitement. Find out how, below.

Mat Watson and his team from ’Carwow’ got four cars to the drag strip for an all-German drag race. The contenders included the Audi RS6, the BMW M5 CS, the Mercedes-AMG E63, and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. All the cars feature V-8 engines and two turbochargers. The Porsche goes in the races with a slight advantage, thanks to the electric motor assisting the engine and helping it make the most horses here. But, it’s a double-edged sword as the motor and batteries make it the heaviest. Which car do you think will dominate the races?

It wasn’t long ago that Audi boss, Markus Duesmann, told Germany’s Manager Magazin that the midsize A4 will ditch the internal combustion engine by 2023. As such, the next-gen model that’s seen here (and due in 2023) represents that last fuel-powered generation of the A4 with an electric model due after that. So, will this generation get all the bells and whistles to give it a proper send-off, or will it be business as usual?

With the demise of the internal combustion engine seemingly getting closer and closer, car tuners have been having a field day making fast, dead-dinosaur-burning cars even faster. Mercedes has even confirmed that the next generation of AMGs will be powered by a four-cylinder married to an electric motor to create a hybrid system. In an AMG. Anyway, German tuning company Manhart is the latest group of geniuses to take an already unnecessarily powerful car and make it even more powerful.

The newest iteration of the Audi RS6 Avant is a brutal beast of a car with a 4.0-liter V-8 that pumps out 592 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque – enough to make it a rival for some of the world’s greatest supercars. So, you could coin the RS6 Avant as a supercar in disguise, but what if you want more? Well, you could get in touch with Pacific German and VF Engineering to have them build you a one-off like the one you see in this video from Auditography.

The Subaru WRX’s launch was controversial, to say the least. It was mostly driven by the fact that the sports sedan looks like a crossover, no thanks to its sheer amount of body cladding. But what if you want a WRX, but in a body style that enthusiasts actually want, and with a design that’s arguably more attractive? Say hello to the Subaru Levorg STI Sport R.

Mercedes’ need to electrify its entire lineup killed a lot of cool cars, including the CLS 63 S AMG Shooting Brake. Eduard Pogea of Pogea Racing wanted to give special attention to this car and created his own project based on the CLS 63S. The car was built especially for him, so do not expect to see this package available for order.

The next-gen BMW 5 series has been spied numerous times in 2021 despite the fact that the current-generation model was just updated. We’ve also recently seen the i5 – the 5 Series EV that will be sold alongside the traditional 5 Series- but now we’ve learned that the i5 won’t be just an electric sedan – there’s actually more to it. And, by more, I mean more interior space and cargo room.

In June 2021 ABT was presenting the ‘Johann Abt Signature Edition’” - a model based on the Audi RS6 Avant built to commemorate the company’s 125th anniversary. It was limited to only 64 units, and, because of its 790 horsepower under the hood, it enjoyed huge success. Actually, it was sold out in no time.

At the customers’ request, ABT is offering a successor for it: the RS6-S. The new model was launched at the same time as the RSQ8-S and will be available starting January 2022.

Hoonigan are back with another crazy drag race on their YouTube channel. This time, it’s two completely different cars from two completely different eras. It’s old school versus new school and American versus European, as a mildly modified Audi RS6 Avant take on a purpose-built, 1967 Pikes Peak Chevrolet Camaro.

The Taycan has been Porsche’s best-selling non-SUV so far in 2021, so it was no surprise when Porsche ushered in some pretty decent improvements for the 2020 model year, nor was it a surprise when the brand launched the off-road focused Taycan Cross Turismo. The McLaren F1 stole the show back in 1992, as it became the fastest production car in the world. Three decades later and it’s still the fastest production car with a normally-aspirated engine. But what started as an idea, discussed during a late flight, actually had more humble roots. Every car starts with a test mule and in the case of the McLaren F1, the test mule was a BMW E34 M5 Touring.

It was just back in April of 2021 that Audi launched the A6 E-Tron concept – a car that was originally thought to replace the fuel-drinking A6. As it turned out, the A6 E-Tron won’t replace the regular A6, but it will be the A6’s EV counterpart. About a month after it was released, I sat down to make a case for how the A6 E-Tron could become the electric wagon – or Avant in Audi talk – that 2025 needs. If the latest reports are true, I could have been right, except that Audi might be moving quicker than I anticipated.

If you’re not a fan of the BMW 4 Series’ massive grille, then the spy shots we have of the 3 Series Touring today should make you quite happy. As best we can tell, the facelifted 3 Series won’t be seeing the supersized grille, and these spy photos all but confirm that very notion. Keep in mind, this is the standard 3 Series Touring, not the M3 Touring that was spied with the massive grille back in October 2021.

If you are into cars, you are probably familiar with the SEMA show that’s been held every November, in Las Vegas, Nevada. You would also know, it’s a place where some of the craziest car builds can be seen. Basically, companies, be it automotive, aftermarket, or otherwise, show off their expertise and creativity. Honda of all companies, has decided to bring out something rather unusual – a 1990s Honda Accord Station Wagon with a heart transplant, the heart being that of the latest Civic Type R.

An engine tune is the easiest way to get more performance out of your engine, especially if it features forced induction. This goes particularly well with other modifications, such as an aftermarket exhaust and intake also referred to as “bolt-ons”. If you are wondering how much performance can be gained from such mods, the guys at “Awesome cars” give an answer in one of their YouTube videos. This time, the U.K.-based tuning specialists have brought out an Audi RS6 Avant to do some product testing and the results are impressive.
