A 6.5-inch lift kit, 40-inch tires, and a 5.13 axle ratio are some of its other accolades

Jeep Gladiator needs no introduction. It was one of the most anticipated products and it didn’t let anyone down. What makes it even more special is that being an FCA product, or should I say Stellantis product, there is no dearth of customization options. But, here’s one example that probably sets the benchmark for Gladiators.

Presenting to you, courtesy of AutotopiaLA, the Jeep ‘Possessed’ Gladiator. It is big, brawny, and comes with mods that can make purists go weak in the knees

2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

The Grand Wagoneer is a tech-heavy, three-row luxurious SUV with a V-8 engine under the hood and off-road tech that can put its rivals to shame

Jeep launched the concept version of the Grand Wagoneer back in September 2020 and it gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the production-spec SUV. The automaker revived the Wagoneer moniker from the dead only for it to be branched out into two different SUVs – the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer. The Wagoneer will come with a smaller engine and fewer goodies compared to the Grand Wagoneer.

The Grand Wagoneer is the epitome of luxury, to say the least. Aside from its massive presence, the SUV comes with a plush interior, 75 inches of a total screen display in the cabin, and a price tag of $111,000 for the top-end model!

2021 Apocalypse Hellfire 6x6

The Gladiator-based truck comes with 40-inch tires, a V-8 engine under the hood, and a starting price of $150,000!

There’s no way 6x6 trucks can sneak away without catching any attention. There are quite a few aftermarket 6x6 creations like the VelociRaptor and the Mammoth by Hennessey, Gladiator by So-Flo, and some 6x6s that are built from the scratch, like the Rezvani Hercules. While Rezvani may have taken a different approach, a company called Apocalypse Manufacturing has developed a 6x6 based on the Jeep Gladiator called the Hellfire. Apart from the six-wheel-drive layout, it comes with massive tires, an active suspension system, and a cabin filled with modern tech features. The asking price for this beast runs into six digits.

Amazon Alexa Will Talk Directly To Your 2018 Jeep Cherokee

Amazon Alexa Will Talk Directly To Your 2018 Jeep Cherokee

Jeep & Amazon breaking new ground in home-to-car communications

The world is getting more techie every day. Jeep and Amazon have partnered together to make home-to-car voice communications possible, basically allowing customers to remotely control their 2018 Cherokee from inside their home or business via their Amazon Alexa enabled devices. The Jeep can be remotely started, the doors locked or unlocked, and directions sent to the GPS navigation system. Conversely, the Jeep will also report vitals like tire pressure and fuel level when asked through Alexa.

“The introduction of Amazon Alexa to the Jeep Cherokee allows us to meet consumers’ increasing desire for innovation of information,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “Jeep Cherokee’s new Tech Connect Package allows customers to minimize the everyday stresses of busy lifestyles by providing them with a variety of ways to stay conveniently connected to their vehicles while making every drive exceptionally informative, entertaining and unique.”

But, not just any Jeep Cherokee will communicate with Alexa. It has to be a 2018 Cherokee with the mid-grade Latitude trim level and the new Tech Connect Package. Such Cherokees will actually include an Amazon Echo Dot, which normally costs around $50 by itself. Owners will also get a three-month subscription to the Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan and Audible. Of course, the Cherokee Latitude comes standard with the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with navigation. Interestingly, Jeep is dropping the price slightly for the 2018 Cherokee. The 2017 Cherokee Latitude in FWD starts at $26,740. Even with the Tech Connect Package, the 2018 Cherokee Latitude FWD has an MSRP of $26,190. The 4WD model starts at $27,690 – a drop of $1,050 from the 2017 model. Of course, you won’t hear any complaints from us or prospective Cherokee customers.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Is Big And Dumb And Pointless And I Really Want To Drive It

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Is Big And Dumb And Pointless And I Really Want To Drive It

Hellcat all the things just got weird

In case you haven’t noticed, let me be the first to tell you – there’s some really weird things going on in the auto industry these days, especially when it comes to performance machines. Some of the fastest cars on the planet are hybrids (Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1), and the all-electrics aren’t that far behind. But probably the weirdest trend of them all is the performance SUV craze. These are two terms that make for strange bedfellows – “performance,” as in going fast, and “SUV,” as in big and tall and heavy and utilitarian. These things shouldn’t go together, but go together they do thanks to cutting-edge engineering magic. Performance SUVs seem to flaunt their resistance to the laws of physics, and the latest entry in this segment (and perhaps one of the most celebrated) is the vaunted Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, a Hellcat-powered off-roader-turned-dragster that promises tire-shredding power and absurd speed potential in a tall-bodied package. It’s big, dumb, and completely pointless. And I really wanna drive it.

I’ll explain. When I first heard the rumors Jeep was fixing to stuff an SUV with Hellcat power, I was perplexed. I found the idea of a 700-horsepower SUV to be absurd and unnatural. If acceleration and speed is what you’re after, why go to the trouble of making it happen in a body style so out of line with that stated goal?

I still feel that way now, and probably always will. For the price of a Trackhawk, you could easily get two vehicles to fill the dual roles of speed-maker and utility hauler, each of which would do their respective duty better than a single Trackhawk ever could.

But that still doesn’t mean I don’t want to drive this thing.

Dealers To Get Preview of Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Dealers To Get Preview of Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Little is known about Jeep’s upcoming rebirth of the Grand Wagoneer, however, dealers attending the biennial dealer show in Las Vegas this August will get the first glimpse of the all-new SUV.

The Grand Wagoneer is suspected to be the high-class Range Rover competitor FCA boss Sergio Marchionne mentioned he desired early last May. Such a vehicle would push the Jeep brand into uncharted high-end luxury territory with prices that could top $100,000.

Nothing is known about the Grand Wagoneer’s underpinnings, powertrain, or potential styling, though it’s highly suspected its chassis will also underpin the next-generation Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango; its powertrain will include both HEMI V-8 and EcoDiesel powerplants; and its styling will feature loads of retro cues – though likely without the woodie sides.

To compete with the Range Rover’s 5.0-liter supercharged V-8, Jeep may include the powerful 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 or perhaps a detuned version of the Hellcat’s 6.2-liter supercharged V-8.

Of course the Grand Wagoneer would include Jeep’s top-tier 4WD system with Selec-Terrain, with the likely inclusion of a four-corner air suspension system. It’s possible Jeep will take the aluminum route, saving weight and adding strength.

Though the public will not get a chance to view the initial plans for the Grand Wagoneer in August – unless someone leaks a photo – Jeep will likely have the range-topping SUV ready for an auto show by the end of 2016 as a 2017 model. If Jeep truly plans to square off against the Land Rover’s Range Rover, expect Grand Wagoneer prices to start in the high $70,000 to low $80,000 and rise well into the six-figure range.
