The most successful race bike in history

Quite simply, if you wanted to win, you needed a Harley XR750. The British and Japanese challenge came and went but nothing could interrupt the dominance of the XR for long. Not only was it devastatingly effective, it also was the best-looking flat track bike ever.

50 Years of Success
Won 29 out of 37 AMA championships between ’72 and ’08

Introduced in 1970 as a replacement for the ageing KR, the XR750 was immediately successful. Riders on XR-750s won 29 of the 37 AMA Grand National Championships from 1972 to 2008 inclusive. Besides having more wins than any other bike in AMA racing, it has been called the "most successful race bike of all time" and has a claim to have more wins than any other racing motorcycle in history.
